OMG, That Binky.

Warning: This post contains my opinion and my feelings only.... binkies may be perfectly harmless to some children and mother's.... just not me. Use at your own discretion.

I am officially where I did not want to be with the second child. I loathe that stupid binky. And no, I really didn't think this would come. Let's step back in time - When Noah was born, he didn't want anything to do with a binky. He was a milk kid. Therefore, I had never truly seen the nightmares of parents having to wean their precious ones off of one. Scarlett liked hers from the start and after reading and talking to her doctor I saw absolutely no problem in letting her soothe herself with it as a baby. I thought for sure she'd toss it when she was ready (like around 1). No way did I think I would be asking her to take it out constantly so I can hear what she is telling me. She speaks so well with that crazy thing out! Scarlett was becoming so much better at not having hers. I had her down to naps and bedtime, no problem. We were totally whipping this thing! Then, I don't know what happened, but now she wants everywhere and is unrelenting about letting you know it. I think this might be my first real toddler battle... We had a real win with switching to the toddler bed :) I guess it's back to the net for me - researching "How to get that stupid flippin binky away from your beautiful precious innocent daughter".  Because I can not continue to hear "Biiiiiiiiinky" all day, ugh. Wish me luck!

Update: I just found this article which just made me feel much better, and I will be making a cute little home for the beloved binky in her bed. Still.... it's just an article and we know how real life pans out so wish me luck!
