It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

She walked around like a queen in this!

This weekend we got our Christmas tree up and decorated for the most part! I'm so excited! I had all of the other inside decorations out, but we just hadn't had time to get our tree yet. This year's tree is different than it has ever been. For one, it's HUGE! For two, there are no ornaments on the bottom foot and a half and I bet you know why ;) I wish I could tell you some beautiful happy story of how we all put the ornaments on and listened to Christmas music(which we actually did!), ate cookies and had a falalalala good time, but this is an honest blog, folks...... and I almost pulled my hair out putting the tree up this year. I'm sure most of you parents can relate :) More and more I'm understanding how a child and their parents have COMPLETELY different memories of things like this. I'm sure Noah has an awesome story to tell, but for me, it was a bit stressful and I'm sure a bit comical.

I'd like to add that no matter how much I wanted to pull my hair out, there's nothing like having children at Christmas. Noah puts 5 ornaments right beside each other, steps back and is dang proud of his work. He wants a picture of him hanging all of them while Scarlett is taking them all off and running with them! While they make me crazy, I wouldn't trade it for the world!

It's one of our favorite things when the Christmas books come out!

Here's Letty, throwing a legitimate fit because I won't let her take all the lights OFF of the tree and EAT them.... yes, she wanted to eat them.

Finally Kevin put her in the pack and it was smoother sailing from then. Here they are hanging her first Christmas ornament from last year.

Noah hanging his first Christmas ornament.

Myself hanging my favorite ornament, a New Orleans ornament I bought at Mardi Gras a few years ago. Some of my favorite times :)

Putting on the star!
