Capitola Love!

Yesterday the kids and I went with our outing buddies to the adorable little beach village of Capitola. I'm retiring there. Period. The beach is awesome, the houses are so cute and they have te best little shopping area!We left early from our friends house with Scarlett screaming almost all the way. She's really not in the mood to be strapped into anything these days. :( She finally fell asleep and we arrived there in a quick hour and a half! ALL the kiddos were so excited to be at the beach as were us moms! Kim was nice enough to set up our area.... well her area that she shared with us because this mom forgot all of our towels at home! Whoops! Here's Kim setting up our area - I just missed a great pic of her and her hammer!

As soon as we got there the girls started burying Noah!

Soon after everybody was pointing out at the ocean and gathering to look.... nope, not a shark :) It was a seal. I only got this lousy picture, but he/she did come come up pretty close to the kids playing!

My two beach and ocean lovers! Scarlett calls it the "Ooochen" Love it!

Corinne with her finished masterpiece! He was so willing and laughed the whole time. She and Noah had a real blast together!

After I gave her some water she thought Noah might be a bit thirsty too! She's such a good sister.

Capitola had a ton of seaweed, the kids drug it around everywhere and this was Noah's prized piece!

We had a great beach day and have great tans today :) Scarlett enjoyed playing in the water more than ever this time. She loved being chased by the waves and wasn't bothered by the cold water at all. I can't wait to go back....... TOMORROW!! Lucky me because I'm leaving tomorrow with my running mamas to run Wharf to Wharf on Sunday.  A whole weekend in a gorgeous beach town with other moms who love to run??? Did someone say my little slice of heaven??? :)

A special thanks to Kim for driving me and the kiddos (especially the screamy one!) Can't wait for our next trip with our new outing buddies!
