I suppose the more complicated pops that you choose to make the harder they are, these were pretty easy I thought. Cake or cupcake pops in general are just the best idea ever if you ask me.... you mean squish teh cake and icing together, roll it in a ball and EAT IT??!! Yes please!
Super simple - make any cake you want, right out of the box. I chose red velvet and strawberry this time.
After you bake the cake crumble it up (it's best to use a food processor) , then add your choice of flavor icing to it, i chose cream cheese frosting because it's my favorite and I think it goes well with every flavor!
And mix it up!
Roll them up into balls and pop them in the fridge or freezer for faster making! I'm going to suggest making these even the night before. I thought they would be better if done all in the same day and I was quite crunched for time, so I really wish I'd done all this earlier and done the dipping the day of the party.
I was so crunched for time, I didn't even get any dipping pics... oh well, it went something like - Dip in brown chocolate, dip in pink chocolate, sprinkle, top and *****MAGIC***** Cupcake Pops!!!!
The birthday girl loved them and so did everyone else I think!
Bakerlla.com has SO SO many fun ideas to chose from, check it out the next time you're bored of plain 'ole cake!
