We're 9 days out from the Big Island Half-Marathon and we are so pumped up again. We ran into QUITE the little SNAG... but we got it fixed! Long-story short - 1. We had a solid babyitter 2. Booked tix, flight, paid to run, yadiyadiyada..... 3.LOST babysitter :( 4. *AAAHHHHHH* 5. Sent 911 out for possible help 6. God was good to us (or really wanted to punish Kev by seeing to it he runs those 13.1 miles he's prepped for!) and provided a new sitter! *THANK YOU TRISHA!!!*
I've basically got MAJOR ants in my pants in the most exciting way to RUN RUN RUN!!! I can't even believe it's almost here!!! Aside from my family and very BFFs, I love nothing more than to run. This is the beginning of a very long and beautiful half-marathon relationship! I have so many plans and goals and dreams..... I should probably just concentrate on this one first though, huh?! I've had some "squeaky knees" lately, but my super awesome Nutrition teacher, who is a WEALTH of knowledge in all things better body, has hooked me up with some really great info and tips that I think will really help me take care of me long-term. Yep, other than that I am all primed and ready to go.... as long as I don't trip over my own feet walking out the door and break something in the next 9 days... Hmmmm, maybe I should just stay home!
Alright, that's enough rambling for now.... I'll leave you with a picture of me and the Hubby after the Great Aloha Run... since I was a bad blogger and never posted a blog about it. Whoooops ;)
