This is how I spent my afternoon
Hiking with my little man!
And my little princess...
Kev had to work today. We missed him, but it was kind of nice to have a little time to myself with the kiddos!
We hiked Mariner's Ridge today. Okay, I love hiking and this has to be my favorite hike by far. It was so peaceful and breathtaking at the top of the Ko'olau Mountains. The wind was nice and hiking through all the ironwood trees smelled really great, kinda like the pine trees from back home. Noah said the cutest thing when we started. He said, "I don't want to hurry or rush and then get to the top and be like 'what?'... and it all be a blur. I want to go slow and enjoy all of Mother Nature." I love my smart boy! Of course when we got to the top and I freaked out when he got near the edge he thought I was a little quacky but oh well! Any pictures I post won't come near what it felt like, but you could see all the way from Kahala to Haunama to Makapu'u to Waimanalo, Kaneohe and relatively FAR up the windward coast... Amazing. I'm ready to leave here simply because I miss my family and friends; otherwise, I could stay here forever.
I love how small he looks next to these trees. He is the most fun, funny, loving, caring, smart, and genuine boy I've ever met!
