Happy 1st Birthday to our beautiful Scarlett!

This is one of my very favorite pictures of her, she was 4 days old here. It seems like a lifetime ago and also like just yesterday. Isn't that how time goes with children?...

She is sleeping peacefully now in her morning nap... how nice to be 1 :)

At 1 Scarlett LOVES to play with her brother. Those two have so much fun together for being so far apart in age. If I had to pick one word to describe her I think it would be adventurous - she is always into everything and not easily deterred or scared. She's a very good walker now too! Over the past month she has tripped and wobbled her way through learning to walk. She gets so tickled by it too! She loves to swing and eat flowers at the park :) She is constantly chewing on something (mostly her binky) and making the most adorable "Mmblah Mmblah, lalalala" sounds! It's my favorite! If I'm EVER in a bad mood and she starts doing that, I immediately light up! Scarlett also loves to sing. We've always sang and read together and now she tries to mimick me. I love it... oh heck!, I guess there's not much I don't love! Maybe the diapers still, but it's part of the territory so I'll take it! Lord knows Kevin isn't going to without at least 10 minutes of whining, lol! Her favorite thing to eat, HANDS DOWN, is strawberries! Letty learned to give kisses months ago... then she went on strike. There were no kisses for weeks :( But now she's back to giving kisses, she's such a sweet girl. And have I mentioned what a Daddy's girl she is sometimes?! There will always be a special connection between a father and his daughter and these two have got it. Now I think my husband is a very handsome man anyway, but playing and laughing with our daughter makes him absolutely irresistable ;) OMyGoodness and she makes the most adorable and hilarious faces! As most of you have seen on the million pictures I post on FB, she has a million looks from cutie, to Yoda, to old man, to "Give me that now!" and my absolute favorite.... "What are you looking at, please put that camera down!" Hahaha, oh my darling Scarlett... I love you so much more than any words could ever express. I can not wait to watch you grow, explore and learn more. Happy Birthday!

In honor of her birthday and her amazing personality I'm posting some pics from the day her "Elephante" arrived in our stuff. She was...
