This & That

We've been in the house just shy of a month now and it's going pretty well. We are all still incredibly happy in this house, it's starting to feel like home. Everything is done now. I'll always have little projects I'd like to upgrade, but the house is done. It feels nice, there is just SO much more room here than we had in Hawaii. The kids are having a ball. Noah is having a little too much of a ball sometimes.... he broke a window with an apple while trying to hit a bird that was on top of the house..... Genius kid, just genius... Oh well, Hello world! I have kids and they break stuff! ;) It's the most trouble he's ever been in and it's kind of cute watching him do the odd jobs around the house and outside to earn money to help pay for it. (I do think it's funny how that works out though, he works and we give him money and then he gives us back OUR money so we can pay for the window.... I guess it's about the lesson though right?)

It's been a nice relaxing weekend. Noah has been in trouble for most of it which makes a pretty quiet house. I think it might be just what we needed. Kevin is getting used to the commute and he's seems to really like his job which makes me happy. He was so over his job in Hawaii, it's great to seem him learning something new and working with people he seems to enjoy so far. He says he sees the craziest things on the way to work and is thinking about starting a blog just about that. Haha, I'd LOVE to read it, wouldn't you?! I'm getting used to the whole full time stay at home thing. It's pretty fun so far. I keep having to remind myself all I have to do is take care of the house and kids.... not a bad gig if I do say so myself. I'm certainly loving it. I've been working with Scarlett on sign language and she is picking it up really well. What fun to be able to communicate with her! She's such a smart little girl!  It's nice to just be able to play with them and take them places and take care of them and not have to worry about homework or work.

My side project has been pictures lately. I've been going through boxes and starting to organize them. I'm only on the pre-organizing stage right now though, lol! The pictures in the house haven't been changed in forever and we have gotten a lot of good ones recently so I went through the last 2 years and made a print folder... no worries, there's only like 500 in there, haha! That's also the pre-stage. I'll be trimming it down. I'm trying to get ready for scrapbooking too. Now that we're so close to Kev's Mom I plan on taking a few weekend girl trips to scrapbook with her!

I'm getting really excited for the upcoming weeks and months! My parents get here on Tuesday and I just can't wait!!! I haven't seen them in a year.... unless you count skype. And I miss them so much! Then Noah starts school which is really exciting too. He's made a friend across the street already, that should make going to a new school a little easier. Get this, the day they met they were asking each other what they want to be when they grow up and the other little boy says "a paleontologist and an inventor" !!!!!! For those of you who happen to not know, that's EXACTLY what Noah wants to be! The next weekend Barbara is coming out to visit and I'm also so excited because I haven't seen her in 2 years! How did it ever get to be that long?? Labor Day Weekend marks the Disneyland Half Marathon!! SO STOKED! I have this insane love hate relationship with running :) And then after all that fun it's a trip home for me and Letty. The occasion is my 10 year high school reunion - 10 years?? Someone pinch me. Should be a fun time, I'll get to spend the first couple of days with my family and get to stay with my super awesome sister! Then I'll get to see my two very BFFs since I was teeny weeny - Jennifer & Brooke. Stay tuned for that weekend blog, should be preeeetty interesting!

Hmmm, well I didn't exactly mean for it to get this long and I'm sure I've left a few things out. Thanks for reading my updating ramble, hope you enjoyed it! I'll leave you with a couple of pics of the kids, isn't that why you read this blog anyway? For all the cute kid pics :) Love to you all & I hope you are all having an awesome summer!!
