Friday morning I went walking with a lady from church. It was really nice to get out. I don't have too many friends here yet. I'm trying to take it slow, but it was nice to be out & social. Along the way I met another lady who takes her daughter to a music class at the theatre downtown. She invited us to go this week.... I'm thinking it sounds like fun and we probably will. After the walk, Scarlett had a well baby appointment and was due for those shots she loves so much. She did well, poor girl now recognizes the steps leading up to the shots and freaks out before she's even stuck :( I absolutely hate taking her for shots.... she just looks at me with such confusion. So, Friday was also the day- the day to open the ROOT BEER!!! Lemme just give you the short version... it was awful! Hahaha! It was very fun to make, but it was just terrible. It kind of tasted like beer, which I think is tasty, but root beer beer.... not so much & Noah definitely didn't dig it.
Anyway, we spent the rest of the evening watching Iron Man 2 finally, enjoying the yummy spice cake I made from scratch out of boredom on Thursday and doing a lot of this...
Saturday I woke up & made breakfast in bed for Kevin... I know, I'm a great wife :) I made vanilla & cinnamon pancakes & bacon. I've been on a cooking & baking spree lately. 'Tis the season, right? I've just realized that making things from scratch is so easy and a lot of fun. It's almost as theraputic as running for me. I did a lot of skyping too, which was great. I miss my parents and it makes me feel so much closer to them. I caught up on some of my running blogs that I read and messed around with the new "Stats" feature. Blogger has this new feature where you can see how the public is viewing your blog. Seems like a decent tool if you are making money off your blog or if you have a product or whatever, but kinda useless for the general public if you ask me. I checked it once in the morning & it said I had like 18 views already & 45 the day before... I doubt it. I mean, I'm interesting, but not that interesting... Plus it keeps telling me that people in Portugal, Pakistan & Europe are viewing my blog.... highly unlikely. I had something like that over the summer, but mine was very detailed; it told me the city, state, time, what page was viewed and how many times.... crazy. I don't use it anymore because I got tired of seeing who was looking at it... I like it more anonymous, unless you leave me an awesome comment, which I LOVE!! Anywho, we called it a night around 8 - Exciting, I know!
Sunday I woke up and got lost going to running group, lol! I finally found it a logged a breezy 4 miles. That's the end of that story. I guess I hadn't mentioned before that I have very successfully found a Mom's Running Group. I absolutely love it and think there are a few potential friends in the group, we'll see though. Making friends in a new area is always so complicated. We had church after that and then we basically watched football all day. The best part of my day?? Catching up with one of my very best friends, Stacie. Things can get a little depressing when you first start to settle into a new place. Ya know, once the excitement of moving & newness weres off. Talking to Stace ALWAYS reminds me of how awesome things really are! Thanks girl!
Me & Stace - too long ago!
Noah ended up actually having school today, bummer. So Kev spent the day playing with his princess & I spent the day cleaning & doing my usual 6 loads of Monday laundry. Alright.... I guess that's enough rambling about our weekend. Hope everyone else had a great long or short weekend. I got an email recently that reminded me that this year October has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays & 5 Sundays, so take advantage of all of them!!!

LOL, I'm the person in Pakistan! And just so it seems less (maybe more) creepy, your blog is in my Google Reader so I think it counts as a hit everytime I open it. :)
