A Gift
This past month my Pappa turned 92. I ordered some flowers for him, but they failed to be delivered due to some really nasty weather. I was really bummed, because as some of you may not know, I am very close to him. I hate not being around to spend more time with him and phone calls are really hard because it's hard for him to understand and vice versa, so I want to make sure he knows I'm thinking of him. So I sent him a card and my Mom some money to get him some. My Mom spends the majority of her hard earned retirement time taking care of him. Words can not describe how I feel about the kind of woman my Mom is. If I am only close to as great is she is by the time I'm done with this life, I'll be pleased. This morning she skypes me to ask me a question. She laughs at the idea of what she's about to ask me.... that makes me very curious. She says she knows I wanted to get him flowers but he's really into Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and we know he loves his tobacco and that she thinks he might like that more! I do laugh :) What a great idea! What is a gift anyway if it's not personalized the best way possible and I can't think of a better gift to give my Pappa than some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and some Mammoth Cave Tabacco Twists! Thanks for the help, Mom!

Very cool! I think your mom should make a krispy creme bouquet. Stick some sticks through the doughnuts and put them in a vase:) Why not???
I read this earlier and didn't respond, but I love comments, so I'll leave a comment.
Pretty cute... I'm sure Pappa knows how much he's loved for sure now!
