Disneyland

Let me tell you a little something about having kids - You HAVE to make time for that crazy little thing called love! :) And my sweetie and I just haven't been able to do that recently, until this past week. We headed down to SoCal this past week/weekend to celebrate my nephew, CJ's 1st birthday! We decided to celebrate Kevin's birthday early and head to Disneyland..... just the two of us! Noah took this news really well as we promised to bring him back something really cool!

We woke up at the crack of dawn and I don't think I've been so excited in a long time! I had butterflies! We grabbed some coffee and made it just as they opened! Kevin is a pro at Disneyland (I'd only been twice compared to his bazillion) so he was our fearless leader. We managed to ride all of the major rides in the first 2 hours with little to NO LINE :) That was a big feat considering the spring break crowds that packed the park! Then we sat down to have some Mickey shaped beignets in my favorite, the Disney French Quarter, before doing a little window shopping and heading over to California Adventure! My favortie part of the day was listening to Kevin woohoo on all of the rides! His happiness made me super happy!

Enjoying a nice frosty beverage with our lunch on such a hot day!!

We finished up all the daytime fun at California and headed back over to Disneyland to mosey around all the areas and watch all of the shows the kids don't want to! We were really stoked they had brought back Captain EO

As the sun was setting we headed back over to California Adventures for the night festivities! I have been dying to see World of Color since I saw it advertised last year. But first - ..... we went to the Tower of Terror! Even though I'd been to to Disneyland twice before, I had never ridden this. Why? Because the first time Noah was way too small so we didn't do it and the second time Scarlett was reeeeally tiny - like in my belly - so I wasn't allowed to.  I'm just going to share this picture, I believe it's all you'll need.
:)
After Kevin was done having so much fun and I was done having the poo scared out of me we wandered past Electronica, which is a new show/club based on the movie Tron. It was cool, but after only a few minutes we really didn't feel like we were at Disney anymore - definitely more like a club- so we jetted out of there and headed to our section to see The Wonderful World of Disney Color!!

Kevin bought me flashing Mickey ears!

We got back over to Disneyland just in time to catch the end of the fireworks over the castle! I NEVER get tired of seeing this and sometimes they make me tear up!

We ended our day watching a sneak peek of the new Pirates of the Carribean. Can't wait for the movie to be out! The whole day was completley magical and the perfect way to remind us how much we love each other and how much fun we can still have together!

LOVE YOU HONEY!!!!
