Traveling... Is It Really Easier??

Ever since we've been back on the mainland I've felt some major pressure to travel everywhere.... here's the deal... it's not really easier just because I'm back on the big rock. Plane tickets are still expensive, races still cost money, hotels require that green stuff too, and don't forget that I have to eat everywhere I go. Moving is hard, I miss my friends, I've made great ones everywhere I've been and I'd just like to build a compound where all the people I love can live or at least vacation for a couple weeks a year. I'm finally settling into life here in California. I do love it, I've just been hit with the reality that at this point in my life being a travel bunny is not an option. I can't just make a decision, buy a ticket and jet off into the sunset for a fun filled weekend anywhere. Ever since I decided to take the year off all I've been doing is trying to plan a million trips..... it's sad, but I just can't do it and I certainly wasn't feeling very peaceful and content with life scrambling around trying to plan a million things. So, I've cancelled just about everything and I am back to where I started and keeping my eye on the prize! I've always loved that saying :) We still have a really exciting year planned and thse past 3 1/2 months have held so much fun already. Thank you to all my wonderful friends who I've had to cancel on or just plain say no as well as to each of you who have already come to see me or will be this year! It's such fun having you all at our home :)
For now, I will continue to work my butt off to have all the freedom I want for our famliy in the coming years!
