Monday, Monday

Having a nap while Mommy gets some blogging in!

I'm exhausted! Well not too bad I guess, but definitely tired. Scarlett had her first temperature yesterday. She woke up screaming around 3am on Sunday morning and we thought it was teething, although a little early. SO not teething. I bought the orajel and we did the tylenol and a cold binkie and teething ring, no help! Her temperature finally got up past 100 so we packed up the kiddos (we were babysitting for the weekend) and hauled them all to the ER. Luckily, and unluckily I guess, Scarlett had a temp of 101.6 and is only 4 months, so they took her right back and we didn't have to wait for 30bazillion hours. They ran a bunch of tests and finally concluded that they didn't know what was wrong with her but since a hefty dose of motrin had gotten her fever down she could go home.... Have I ever mentioned how I just love military doctors, lol! We brought her home and she slept sweetly all night with us and seems to be feeling a bit better today. Anyway, Kev has duty today so I needed to stay home with her. I wanted to stay home with her, but it also meant I'd need to miss school. I really don't like missing school, but being a mother is what I want to be good at more than anything. So if it means I don't have the A++ in my classes that I know I'm capable of, then that will have to be fine. I realized today that I am okay with that. If any of you don't know I'm sort of a perfectionist so this was a little hard for me to swallow at first, lol! Lucky for me I have some really great professors and I am going to be able to make an exam up and my speech teacher said she won't dock my grade for the absence. God is good :)

I love this!! 4 months old :)

In other news, I had decided to run the Big Island Marathon but after a long internal debate I've decided that it will only be the half marathon. I think it's a good place to begin, again. Kevin has also agreed (relatively willingly) to do it with me so I think this will make it a more fun experience for us together. So YAY! New running goal for me. I was getting kind of pathetic without one.
I think that's it. We're just counting the days til Grammy and Grandma Farnady come to visit. Can't wait for that! And getting geared up for the holidays. I love this time of year! Hope everyone is having a great November so far!
