I've logged on quite a few times lately to update this little bloggy blog of mine with no progress made. So I guess I'll give it a shot now. I'm sooo tired. It doesn't help that I have 3 children in my home tonight (ages 6, 4 and 7 months) who are not on anywhere NEAR the same schedule or in the same mood... and did I mention Kev is on duty. Normally this wouldn't phase me much, but lately I've just been exhausted. No amount of sleep is enough. School is going well. I've got the algebra thing under control finally, ha. I still like my schedule and I'm doing well at keeping up so I don't actually have to spend much time at home studying which is nice.
Noah is doing well, I absolutely hate the Hawaii school system. I have loved his teachers, but the system is terrible. Hawaii is by far the most backwards state I've ever been in (and I'm from Tennessee). Everytime I turn around he's out of school for some lame holiday or FURLOUGH FRIDAY, don't get me started....Grrrr! I can't wait until we are in California with normal schools and normal sports programs. I think he's pretty ready for this next adventure as well. We've started going to a program called RAP (Read Aloud America) every other Wednesday; I'll have to do a separate blog to tell you all about it. It's really great to have some time set aside that's ours. The older he gets, the more I miss him... most mother's probably know what I'm talking about.
Scarlett is growing so fast! She's crawling at Nascar speeds and pulling herself up on everything. Apparently she really wanted to play Wii today because she kept going for the remotes! Her babbling is adorable, she makes all sorts of sounds, but we're afraid to call a first word yet but I'm pretty sure she says "hi" all the time :) I'm also pretty sure she's said "dada" but we're waiting until she directs it at Dada :) She keeps me sane, when the rest of the house and world are moving so fast it's the most peaceful & settling thing to just hold her and look into her brand new beautiful eyes. I am madly in love with her.
Today was the first day of my no T.V. experiment. It was actually supposed to be no T.V. and no internet, but I realized that I use the internet for too much daily stuff [school, important email, purchases] to turn it off. I got the idea from the RAP program I mentioned. The idea is to turn off the t.v. and all the pesky electronic equipment that seems to have taken over our lives and made so much white noise. Honestly, today I loved it. I got a lot done in the house and enjoyed the quiet. It actually did seem like I had hours more in the morning/early afternoon than I normally do. Anywho, I'll let you know how it all turns out.
Well, I guess that's about it. We run the GAR on Monday and have officially moved Valentine's Day to the 15th this year... more about that later maybe. I've been very bad about updating the running blog, I'll try to get caught up next week. Things are going well though. I couldn't be more proud of Kevin. Alright, I'm going to put the monkeys to bed and try to get some reading done. NIGHT!
