Day Trip - Picture Story :)

While Mom & Dad were here we decided to take a day trip into the city.

Me & Mom - 1996
I LOVE San Fran. I think I have since I first came here as a kid.  I mean, I did go to my very first Urban Outfitters on that trip, how could it not hold a special place, haha! When Kev & I came up to find a house we took a date trip to the city and I fell in love again. Anyway, we headed out on Saturday and decided to take the BART. It was this kids first BART trip, Noah was pretty excited and Letty enjoyed looking out the window!

We got off and took a photo op in front of the Vaillancourt Fountain at the Embarcadero Center. I love that it has a little background from MY favorite band - U2.

Then Mom & Dad treated us to a little ride all the way down to Pier 39. Thanks guys!!

When we got off we headed down to the wharf to get soup in a bread bowl! It was the ONLY request Kevin made for the whole day so we headed straight for it and what better place to get one from than Boudin Bakery?! It was goooooood!!

When our bellies were good and exploding we strolled back down to PIER 39 to do some shopping and touristy stuff. Pier 39 can easily be a full day event if you have children, we had a lot of fun there. Noah was so excited about sea lions in their natural habitat and had a great time watching the 58 year old lady do her magic show. He wanted to give her $20 when she was done... we said no, lol!

I spotted the Coastie 'Copter while I was waiting with our "No napping Letty" for everyone outside of the candy store - actually I heard it coming waaaay before I saw it, but it gave me time to turn the camera on! It was really nice to hear one again, I've kind of been missing it.

Noah rode the carousel and then we headed back to the BART. My poor poor daughter seriously only napped like 10 minutes the whole day. We had the super comfy SUV of all jogging strollers with us and a great baby carrier that we stupidly left at home. She wouldn't have anything to do with sleeping in her stroller so Kevin geniusly tied a blanket up like a baby wrap and she finally slept :)
Adorable!
My other favorite picture from the whole trip!

After her nap she decided she needed to get her workout in... just a few reps ;)

And done.

What an awesome day! I picked up a few Bay Area Family magazines last week and I am already planning more Farntastic Fun Family outings! There are a million things to do and see in the area and I can't wait to see as many as we can!
