Yesterday Noah and I spent the day at Tripler... please hold your cheering, this was not exactly fun. Noah has been complaining of heart and chest pain lately. He's always gotten out of breath easily and he turns really red in the face after he exerts himself. We've never really thought much of it because he never complained, but after last week I decided this was something that could not wait any longer. So we head up to the pink building and see the pediatrician. He suggested we first do an EKG, to make sure there was no heart damage.
Noah was a little nervous, but after some explanation of the process he had a lot of fun with it! :)
The EKG was normal, my young man has a good strong heart it seems. So since he did such a great job I decided to treat him and take him to Buca Di Beppo for lunch.
We ate food, I promise, but mostly to justify this COLOSSAL BROWNIE SUNDAE!!!
Then we had to go back up to Tripler so Noah could do a test on his lungs to see if he has asthma, which I think he does.
He did a really great job on the test and had fun doing it too. Ya know, I always count my blessings that I have such a great tempered and mannered boy. He finds the fun in everything!
The frustrating thing is that he passed this test too. Which is good, that means that from this one test it looks like there are no obstructions in his airway. But, we still have to figure out what is going on with him. I still think it's asthma, all the symptoms fit. I'm looking for a pediatrician in the area we'll be living in now as well as a cardiologist and we'll get this figured out! For now, he's as healthy as broccoli!
