~The Perfect Day~

The movers got done early/on-time yesterday so Kevin & I had today ALL TO OURSELVES! And while we just love our children to pieces we certainly love our us time too! There are a billion things to do in Hawaii - contrary to Hawaii's 101 things to do magazine :) - but you just can't take your kids to do all of them. That's where days like today come in!
We dropped the kiddos off at school and daycare and we were off! I normally make most of the plans and drag the family around everywhere so today I let Kevin have the planning reigns and I'm glad I did! I am going to venture and say that it was the best day I've ever had on this island.

First, it was breakfast at Eggs'N Things. If you live in Hawaii and you've never been to Eggs 'N Things then SHAME ON YOU! It's delicious! And they even have a blog :)

Here we are... about to enjoy our breakfast!
But before we even got seated, we were lucky enough to see this guy... and really wanted to share him with you! He's Super Hero Prepsterrrrrr

Then in all Kevin's awesomeness, we headed to the Volcom store and he got some new shades and I got a new suit! He really knows how to take a gal out on a date!
And as everyone knows, with a new suit, you must go to a new beach - cause just any old beach wouldn't do! We head over to the blowhole and down the cliffs to a beach I have ALWAYS wanted to go to...

And how fun is it that we find a lavatube down there?! Of course I had to go in it, I even found a couple with a lantern to take me all the way through!
We played in the water!

Then we trekked over to the blowhole...

We drove up the Windward side of the island and hit the North Shore. From the moment I arrived on this island it has been my favorite place on earth. Of course we had to make a stop at Turtle Bay - I will always be happy this is where we chose to say "I do!"

We were pretty exhausted after we sat here and watch some surfers for awhile so we continued along to a little place in Haleiwa called Banzai Sushi.

I'm so stoked that we stopped in here today because it's one of those places I've always seen and said "I'd like to go there sometime" and you know how that always works out.

It was the most relaxing atmosphere and incredibly yum sushi with the coldest Kirin I've ever had! The perfect end to the perfect day.
