Mother's Day Weekend

Today has been a wonderful Mother's Day and the whole weekend has been really great too.
Friday we had a much needed date night. We went to Sansei and had some really yummy sushi. There is so much going on with the move & finishing up the semester we've barely had time to breathe, so this was really great! We almost went to go see Ironman 2, which I really want to see, but then we remembered how old we are and how much we really love to sleep! :)

Saturday I went to get my hair chopped off.... Hooorray! It's not as short as it ever used to be, but it sure is short to me now. I love love love it! Growing it out was fun, but this is much nicer. When I came home it was Mexican Fiesta time! Kev had duty on Cinco de Mayo, so we had to move it to Saturday! No, we're not Mexican at all, but we love margaritas and Mexican food and you all know how I can't pass up a themed celebration, so that counts right? :) Kevin found a great margarita recipe with fresh key lime juice, so good! And I made enchiladas & these really yummy chorizo and bean nachos with a lime & sour cream sauce.... MmmmMmmmMmmm :)

On Sunday we really didn't have much planned since Roy's ended up being all  booked up for their brunch :( BUT, I slept til about 8. (Which killed Kev because he just doesn't know what to do without me :)) Then when I got up I was surprised with PEARLS!! Noah got me the necklace and Letty got me earrings. They are absolutely stunning and I can not wait to wear them as much as I possibly can!

Afterwards we went to Koa Pancake House, I <3 Koa! Then to Target to grab some things. Scarlett really liked these glasses...
but we think she's a little young to be THAT big of a diva! Kev got me some new PJs and we went home, cuddled on the couch and had a pretty nice rest of the day. All in all it was a great weekend. We only have 3 weekends left here and I'm entering the mourning stage. I'm going to miss Hawaii so much, but that's a whole nother blog.
