Could this week go ANY slower??? I don't think so.
School has started back for me, which is awesome. I'm almost done with my second week. I hate to disappoint you , but I didn't end up taking the wine tasting class. I opted for the much more fun Biology and Chemistry, both with labs :) Believe it or not, I'm enjoying them so far. My days here at the house have been draaaaging on though. Poor Letty has a cold which means I can't do anything but sit with her or just watch her do what she's doing. Sounds nice, right? Well, there's pros and cons to everything and the con to that is that there are things that need to be done and I'm not very good at just sitting. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE my time here with her - but every Mom knows it's a constant war between the "Wanna sit arounds" and the "Crap Ain't Gonna Do Itselfs". At the end of most days I've at least kept the house clean through the daily mayhem in time to turn it over to Kevin when he walks in the door and I walk out - Red Bull in hand, lol! Did I mention it's night school?
All in all the month of January has brought about some really successful and smooth changes. I'm making a conscious effort to take every day slowly, not pack too much in and just enjoy the ride. I'm almost done with book 2 of my goal of 10 for the year. One of my goals for this year is to read 10 books.... something tells me I shot a little low on this one - we'll see. I absolutely love reading and I realized that to make any sort of dent in my book bucket list then I needed to make it a priority. So I did.
Speaking of bucket lists, Stacie and I were talking about this when she was here and it got me thinking. While my "life" bucket list is a little unclear, I do have a book and race bucket list, lol! How twisted is that??? Most people are like "I wanna vacation *insert great place here* or I want to see the *blah, blah, blah* I'm just thinking about the best places to run 13.1 miles.... and then eat their awesome food and explore the area. To each their own, right? What's on YOUR bucket list??
And speaking of 13.1 miles I get to run another one in 10 more days!! Getting pretty amped up about this one. I could write a seperate blog everyday about how much I miss the beach, warm weather and Hawaii in general, but I'm chosing to stay in the moment and enjoy living in Northern California while we do. The point of that was that I can not wait to run by the beach again!!!! Hoooray! I may just have to "miss" my flight back ;)
Been wondering what's going on with me? Consider yourself successfully caught up :)
