Cameron Gene Cruz Jr. was born on April 2nd, 2010. A GOOD Friday it was! He weighed just 2lbs 4oz and he was 14 1/4" long; what a tiny precious angel!!!

At Birth: He was breathing on his own, made noises, moved around, and even went pee ;). Dr's were very happy, Teresa & Cameron are on the moon, and we are all so relieved and thankful that God has brought him into this world so we can share our love with him.
Teresa went home from the hospital on the 5th and says she is feeling fine and resting. Cameron has been taking tons of pics and video. Baby Cam will be kept in the hospital until about late June, which would have been full term. The docs say that if he had made it to full term he would have been between 11-13lbs..... HOLY CRAP! The other day, Baby Cam was wiggling all over the place and Teresa placed her hand on his hand and he was still and calm- How Amazing is a mother's bond with her baby! Kinda makes me want another brand new one.... key word- kinda! So Baby Cam went about the first 24hrs breathing on his own - GO BABY CAM!!! Then he got tired and they put him on a ventilator, which was completely expected. What an amazing miracle he is!
Today, Baby Cam has gained 5 oz., his heart valve is closing on it's own and won't need anymore medication or surgery, he may get to come off of the ventilator soon, and apparently Teresa is doing laundry- BAD Teresa, sit down and REST!! ;)
Just to give you some perspective, his foot is the length of Teresa's thumb! WOW!
Looks like the clothes I bought this little bitty guy aren't going to work anymore, so looks like I'm headed back to Carters, YAY!
