Am I A Snob?

Or do I just really love distance running?

I recently injured my hip. I'm pretty sure I made the mistake of not making the proper recovery after the Disney race, but I'm not totally sure. I'm not totally sure because I'm too stubborn to go to the doctor. My injury and subsequent pain have reduced me to 2-3 mile runs that leave me almost limping the next day. I'm stretching, resting, not pushing it and still no long runs for me. After my last long run, which was almost 3 weeks ago, I was complaining to another woman in our running group that I had only gotten in 4 miles and my hip was in excruciating pain. One of the other running mamas laughed and said "ONLY 4 miles!?" Too which I laughed too, but I know inside I truly believe that to ME 4 miles is pidly. It left me thinking, am I a running snob? Have I become one of those runners? I really don't mean to cast off anyone's mile or 2 as nothing, I know it's a big deal to some people and I think that's great. I don't want to be one of those runners. But for me, it's not even close to enough. I love my 8-9 miles long runs. I miss them. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to replace the adrenaline rush I was getting from them, but I better do something fast. Until then, I'm just going to have to find some way to be satisfied with my short steady runs.

P.S. Don't you just love the hoodie?! I do, and as I recall.... Christmas is coming up :)
