Giving Thanks

We just got home from our trip to SoCal, it only took us 8 hours to get home :) I am thankful we are here and here safely.

This year has held so many things for me to be thankful for...

First and foremost, I am thankful that I have a 7 month old, thriving, healthy, handsome nephew.

I am thankful that this year we moved closer to family. With that, I am also so incredibly thankful for my 5 awesome years in Hawaii.

I am thankful that we didn't all die in a Tsunami :)

I am thankful for 2 beautiful kids that keep me on my toes and make me crazy! I am thankful that they are both healthy and made it to both of their birthdays this year, so many don't each year. I am thankful God gave me patience to deal with all of their shananagins :)

I am thankful that God made people and grapes so that I could have wine to make the bad days seem so much brighter! ;)

I am thankful for personal growth that knew no boundaries and continues to surprise me.

I am thankful that this year, with the cooperation of my awesome, strong, body and mostly my mind that I completed not 1, but 2 half marathons! And I am also thankful that it's not broken so I can do more!

I am thankful for my ever understanding and sacrificing family. I would move mountains if I could to see them more.

Which leads me to being thankful for Skype, with skype I can have a Saturday in my pjs with my sister, see Mom's beautiful face and know exactly how she's doing, and see the excitement on Dad's face when he tells me about his new boat, not to mention I can actually see the boat too!

I am thankful for each of my best friends and everything they provide for my life as well as what they allow me to share with them. I am also thankful that, looking back on this year, I have gotten to spend quite a bit of quality time with so many of them!

I am thankful for the most awesome in-laws I could have ever imagined! You have provided my life with so much to laugh about, so many great memories and support in these few short years... I can't wait
for what's to come!

I am thankful for the internet, so I can do this thankful post!

I am thankful for our new church and all of the warm people we've met there so far. I am thankful for all of the opportunities it holds for my family.

Last, but certainly not least, I am thankful for my 3rd successful year of marriage with my best friend. It may have been the most challenging yet, but the growth was worth it. I am thankful for all the ways Kevin makes me laugh, advises me (even when it's unwanted!), and how hard he works to have given me this time off. I am thankful for the memories when it gets tough and I am thankful for the days when we wear our young pants because it's so easy to get caught up in the responsibility of it all.

I am thankful for my comfy, cozy bed to sleep in tonight because that road trip was craaaaaaaaazy!
