I was already excited about seeing Brian & Sharon and then last week one of my long time friends, Riley, got back from Germany so we immediately made Friday a date! Riley & I went to elementary school together and then seperately joined the Air Force. She's a pilot & made a trip to Hawaii last year where we got together for the first time in YEARS!! Riley is definitely one of the best things about living in NORCAL! Anyways, we had a flipping blast and crashed at her sweet place in the city right on the bay. I'm sure we stayed out way too late, but oh well! I've had such a stressful last few weeks so I needed to let loose a bit.
When we got up we watched Tennessee play some football, got ready & then headed to meet the family at Boo at the Zoo! Our family loves the zoo, we made countless visits to the Honolulu Zoo and plan on becoming members at the Oakland Zoo here. So, for Boo at the Zoo they had the place all jazzed up for Halloween. They had an animal scavenger hunt for the kids and a costume parade & contest. Letty has been sick so she didn't wear her costume & Noah actually didn't want to. I was a bit dissapointed, but whatever makes them happy!
Checking out the squirrel monkeys, they were so cute & funny!
Loved this little door for the kids!
Noah, having a listen at how rabbits hear.
Petting the Goats
Our animal lover. I think Noah might be at his happiest at the zoo :)
The otters were Letty's favorite!
My favorite, as always, the meerkats! They're just so adorable, but they'll scratch your eyes out!
We all loved the giraffes! Kev & I both agree that they are the prettiest animals there.
Grammie & Letty headed around the corner to see Grammies favorite, the lions!
The whole day I kept saying how I wanted to ride the SkyLift because I haven't ridden one in years. Well, we did and I was excited & it was Noah's first ride so he was too. Yea, good thing Noah went with Pops & not me & Kev because Mom is a big scaredy pants! I was completely caught off guard when out of no where I was terrified, gripping on to the side and front as if my body was going to catapult itself out of the chair. I'm going to have to handle that before we go skiing soon!
